why i started this blog

hey, i’m hamid.
i’m a travel agency co-founder. i run Morocco Travel Experts with my team, and every year we take around 40 to 55 groups and families around the country.
so why a blog?
because i keep answering the same questions. every single week.
is it safe? how much should i tip? is this price normal? why did the taxi guy say the meter is broken?
i answer them on reddit. in dms. on whatsapp at 11pm. and every time i think, ok this should just live somewhere people can find it.
that’s this blog.
here’s what you’ll get here:
- real answers, no brochure talk
- what actually happens on the ground, not what instagram shows you
- scams and how to avoid them, calmly, without making you scared of the whole country
- itineraries i’d actually take my own family on
- honest prices, and where the money goes
what you won’t get:
- “10 magical places you MUST see”
- copy pasted stuff from other sites
- anyone pretending morocco is easy or perfect
it’s not. it’s also one of the best places i know. both are true.
i’ve been doing this [x years] now and the thing that still gets me is how many people arrive stressed because of what they read online. then day two they relax and it’s just fine. so a big part of this blog is helping you skip the stress part.
if you have a question you want answered, send it to me. i mean it. the best posts here will come from your questions.
